Our mission is to buy underperforming properties in growing areas and invest significant capital to bring the property to modern-day standards. A typical property will take 18-24 months to fully stabilize. With each property we invest in, we are prepared to hold it for many years.

Southeast Capital Investments is a holding company for Chris and Mark Ellsworth. Over the last twenty years, the two have bought, purchased, redeveloped, and sold over 250,000 square feet of commercial space. Their business model has grown over the years. Starting as novice investors, they each bought their first rental homes in their early 20’s. Over time, their portfolio grew to include dozens of homes across three states. After the crash of 2008, they began to shift their focus to multi-family and office/commercial projects. Since that time, they have invested in projects throughout the Southeast and are currently working on redevelopment projects in Huntsville, Chattanooga, and metro Atlanta. Part of their talent is seeing past an asset that many would consider “run down.” This eye for finding potential has yielded many great returns and improved the quality of life in every community they have invested in.
Our philosophy has always remained the same. Buy quality assets in growing areas and update them to be clean, affordable, and ready to move in.

Mark Ellsworth began his career as a school teacher after graduating from Western Carolina University. After leaving the industry to pursue business opportunities, he began work in sales. Over the next 15 years, he became the Director of Sales at a rapidly growing Atlanta based technology distribution firm. During his “corporate days,” Mark built a portfolio of investment properties that included single-family homes and office properties. These investments gave him the financial stability to leave behind the corporate world and begin working full time as a Commercial Real Estate Broker and Investor.
Since 2015, Mark has helped dozens of investors acquire or sell properties as part of their investment strategy. He loves assisting investors to achieve their financial goals through real estate, and it is a source of great pride for him to mentor new investors on the qualities to look for in a property.
Mark is well versed in asset underwriting, tax strategy, and construction project management. Mark proudly served in the US Army Reserves as part of the 324th Signal Battalion. Mark is a married father of two and lives in Roswell, GA.
Chris Ellsworth graduated from Appalachian State University with a degree in Criminal Justice and Economics. After college, Chris became a co-founder of World Micro, Inc. It was routinely recognized as one of the fastest-growing companies and appeared on several INC 500 lists and other industry publications. In 2016, Chris sold his interest in the company and began the next phase of his life: actively investing in real estate. Using his knowledge from the corporate world, he began the methodical process of building an extensive portfolio of real estate investment properties.
Chris has always been a hands-on person and values his attention to detail to help keep projects on time and, most importantly, on budget. In recent years, Chris has focused on larger projects in the $1-5M purchase range. These properties all share one common theme. Each of them will become a tremendous asset, achieving a great ROI after undergoing a full renovation, bringing them up to today’s standards.
Chris has successfully renovated large scale apartment complexes, office parks, and dozens of single-family homes. Chris lives in Marietta, GA with his wife and three boys.
